I'm in north Texas. They never go away here. Some days you can scrape frost off your windshield in the morning and fight mosquitoes by the middle of the afternoon.

David I get new e-mails all the time so I keep up on the issues from both sides and I have had 3 or 4 e-mails talking about this

I think its safe to say it has nothing to do with any of those items and everything to do with various animals living in close quarters with people.

Here in Canada it is bad luck to kill a mosquito --- 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 will come to the funeral!

I'm about 75 mi. NE Dallas and seldom have one in the summer with lots of vegetation around my house and a 1 ?-2 acre pond not far from the house. Interesting.

My brother use to live in Alaska. He says the mosquito is the state bird.
