Thicker blades?

I came across a heavy duty grass/light brush cutting deck off of I?m guessing a batwing cutter.the kind made for golf courses/large lawns, etc.its just 1 wing off of whatever it was.i want to make a trail mower out of it.its belt driven and has 2 standard lawnmower blades on it now totaling a 42? inch cut.does anyone make heavier blades that would bolt right on? Something that would cut light brush without nicking/gouging the blades too much?

If you are working with something that small try these blades. I put a pair on my Husqvarna last year and was pleasantly surprised. They stay sharp much better than the regular stuff. Check out Ebay. They cost almost the same.

I use a mutt mower to cut brush.
It's a 38 inch mower with a 10 hp motor.
I put

Larger front and rear wheels to get mower deck and an its an inch higher.
It does a good job mowing small brush.

Then I made a pull behind brush hog that cuts about 5 off. That will cut up to 1 inch brush. Use this to cut over dead flower beds in fall.

Snapper deck has a single heavy blade. I use a 30 inch blade on a 33 inch deck.

The key is getting deck higher and smaller blade gives more clearance between deck and blade.
