It appears to me that the case has a pretty good hole in it. It appears also that it is cold there, and it is apparent that the oil has water mixed in with it. All that adds up to the possibility of there being adequate free water under the oil-water mix to freeze hard and expand breaking the case. It happens. My advice would be to go on the hunt for a used transmission. You could get some help in your hunt if you give your location.

A cracked case means the entire rear half of the tractor needs replacing. At least replacement is better than trying a welding repair. The transmission is not a separate unit.

I've never looked under one of them but if it's like an M it could have a ball dropped out of a ball bearing and run under a bull gear splitting the case or I guess it could have frozen/ looks like it has water in the oil.

I was gonna have someone try to weld it and flush the transmission with fresh lube I don't have the means to replace the whole back half of the tractor

remove the belt pulley if it has one, or the cover plate and look in the trans. cant just patch a hole without knowing whats going on.

I was told as long as it goes into gear still and don't make noise the transmission is ok and everything still works just fine I tried all the gears and no noise and they still shift smoothly
