Days Of Hoarfrost

We have had days in a row of hoar frost and fog which is fairly scenic even without the sun and blue sky. I took a few shots while out with the Massey picking up a hay bale.

Cross your fingers.

We have had a lot of fog and hoar frost in the past few months as well.

If the saying about getting rain 90 days after a fog holds true we might actually see a decent crop of hay this year.

Thanks Ron A piece of carpet makes a good "winterfront" to cover the grille of the tractor in hopes of building up a little heat in the engine in winter. The cardboard side panel is mainly to protect the diesel fuel filters from the cold wind which might cause fuel gelling in extreme conditions. Although in 25 winters I have never had it happen yet.

I've been informed that the correct term is "rime frost" but nobody around would know what I was talking about if I called it that.
