iPad and The Weather Channel

I have had an early iPad for several years. A week or so ago The Weather Channel app suddenly quit. The rest of the apps appear to be working ok. I visited the app store and tried to re-load TWC (after deleting the one that failed). A message popped up something like "TWC not compatible with this iPad". I'm wondering whether a TWC update isn't able to work with my version of ipad? I'm on iOS 9.3.5 and it says it is up to date. Anyone else have a similar problem? Thanks.

My old IPad lost weather channel a week ago. I can't get it back on there. I may have to start using a weather rock.

(quoted from post at 01:25:36 01/30/20) I have had an early iPad for several years. A week or so ago The Weather Channel app suddenly quit. The rest of the apps appear to be working ok. I have IOS 13.3. Maybe this could be the problem. Weather Channel app is 11.6.1
No problem with mine.

IBM has bought up the weather channel and several popular weather apps. Seriously, IBM.

They are systematically ruining all of them.

I use Weather Underground app. I understand the latest upgrade is terrible, it shows the temp and a picture of a big thermometer, but has messed up the rest and hard or impossible to find other weather data we used to get. Just read the reviews of it.....

I can?t get the latest update, it needs iOS 13.something. My version of the app is still working some, but it no longer shows weather advisories; it continues to tell me to watch out for the blizzard forecast for 2 weeks ago.

Likely, they ?upgraded? all their owned weather apps to be less functional, deliver more ads, and only work on iOS 13.something.

They are living in an ivory tower and don?t have a clue what they are doing.

Your I pad needs refreshing to newer operating system. Mine has an icon for weather that tells temp and wind chill. On my iPad there is a refresh location to refresh it. To find it go to general and find operating system, scroll to bottom of list that comes up and it should refresh to 13.3 . Any questions send me a email and I will try to help.

Checked under Settings/General/Software Update. Again. There is a message that I'm on iOS 9.3.5 and "Your software is up to date."
I also clicked on General/About and here is some info: Capacity 12.9 GB. Available 5.2GB. Version 9.3.5 (13G36). Model MC769LL/A.
I don't exactly know when this iPad was made but I have had it since 2012 and it wasn't new then. Perhaps this unit is only good up to version 9.3.5? Or is there a way to force it to update system? Thanks.

I get my weather from the place where the weather channel gets the weather....Weather.gov. Works fine on an Ipad. Why get it second hand?
