Parts for implements

I'm looking for parts for my John Deere hay conditioner, and no.5 mower. Is there a place that will sell pats for implements like that, and other ones that will need parts in the future?

Very open ended question. Many parts can be had at places like TSC or Orscheln's or other such farm an home places. But many others are dealer only or salvage
 
The normal wear parts (parishables) are available from a variety of suppliers including farm and home stores. The basic machine parts may only be available from Deere, salvage yards, or a second machine for parts.
 
The #5 mowers are pretty common. I had a couple in the fence row myself. I would think finding a few parts machines would be easy.
 
I?m looking for bigger parts that I can?t get at other places. I was looking for a implement salvage yard.
 
The problem is that they are so old that few people are looking for parts anymore so most salvage yards sent them to scrap when prices were high. Ebay has lots of mower parts as a few people have parted them and are offering parts. There is a Fry's Machinery in Muncy Pa that has acres of implement parts. Your best option is to look for some parts machines of your own. Tom
 
For the hitch parts if they are bent just take them off and straighten them. If they are broke just take them off and weld them. That's what the rest of us do.

Location??????????? Viewers here can post up many options, but they don't do much good if they are a thousand miles away.
 
Finding a specific part and having it shipped to you could get expensive because there is very little demand for many of those parts. It isn't worth the labor cost for someone to disassemble a mower and try to sell the individual parts. If those machines were popular in your area, you can probably fine an entire machine locally for around $25 max. and remove the parts you need. You can either keep the rest of the parts machine in case you need more parts or junk it.
 
The problem is I don?t have the hitch parts for the no.5 to the MT. If I had them I would fix them.
 
I?m in west Michigan, but there aren?t many implement parts places in
the area, so I may have to get stuff shipped.
 
Your in West Virginia, is that correct? I?m in Michigan so it might be a little expensive to get it, but what would you want for it?

ebay has helped me numerous times on popular parts like Ford tractors and implements like early JD drills and other things, tedder tines.........
 
TD try looking on Craigslist for a guy in Stanton MI. He has been selling some tractor parts. If he doesn't have anything he might find you something at a sale for you. I bought some things from him. He seemed reasonable. I think his name is John, may have to leave a message and wait for him to call you back.
