Artsway 300 Grinder mixer Unloader auger

interior Rust has destroyed what little metal that was left at the elbows. it looks like a start from scratch all over again repair . anyone ever have to rebuild one ? or come up with a working alternative? I would love to find parts .

Find a place that makes that flighting and tubing @ rings, you need a wire welder, how are your gears, should be no problem getting those !! The hired kid bent mine once !!!

I would think that there are thousands of those around that are not used anymore. Every farm used to have hogs and cattle - now very few do and most of those have feed delivered. I think the discharge auger was the same on everything up through the 475 model. I realize most wear and rust occurs in the same places but you should be able to find one that is still good or that has had those elbows replaced shortly before the machine was retired. Happy hunting.

Helmuth Repair in Kalona, Iowa, handles a lot of Artsway. I'm sure they could give you advise or find you parts. Very nice people to deal with.

I have an IH 105 Grinder-Mixer which was made by Artsway and is exactly the same as the Model 300 - 400. might be a place to look.

Before I found my Art'sWay, I had a JD grinder/mixer. The unload auger failed, and I cut open the short, vertical auger tube so it would dump out about two feet off the ground. I then used a short four-inch auger my neighbor had lying around to unload into a gravity wagon. No longer portable, but it would grind and mix and unload. I disconnected eveything after the short vertical auger. I use it this way for a few years, until I started to find bearing parts in the feed, time for the scrapper.

I stripped the worm gear on my Art'sWay unload auger, now I have to lift it up and push it to the side manually, but it still unloads fine. If you find a used ring/worm gear, let me know!!

I had thought that Art s Way Manufacturing had gone bust . It appears that they have always been around and local dealer quit . https://www.artsway-mfg.com/

Should be parts yet . Then most of the components are off the shelf or shop built anyways .
