Followup to Florida winter: Texas Winter

Indian Paintbrush bloom just south of Austin in my front yard. Iv'e seen posts of large roadside patches down near the coast. They don't usually show up till March. A friend who lives near Shiner said his neighbor's peach tree was blooming. No gators though.

We were down in Austin last weekend, rained every day. It did get sunny and warm Saturday, enough for a couple of our folks to get a little sunburn. I'll take the snow over daily rain, myself.

we are actually very dry. Texas weather is kinda all or nothing. We did have some wet weather but overall behind in rainfall. Still
under a burn ban.

Yes sadly winter is about over and the heat of summer is just around the corner.
About 50 miles north of New Orleans.

My fig tree budding out.

Flowers on a tree my wife has that I have no idea what it is.

And the clover in the yard is making the bees happy.

As a little boy, I was following my father across the lawn, from the barn to the house. I noticed he was looking down intently. He stopped abruptly, bent over, and picked a four leaf clover.
