New Beginning

When I bought my NAA out of a field in Canyon TX in 2016 I had to take a basket case 8ishN. It was a 8N thru the transmission with a 2N rear axle. With a front distributor! And it came with a Dearborn loader! What a deal. The PO is an honest to goodness mechanic and had some pretty awesome cars and trucks too. He had sent the block and head to the machine shop and had all the spec parts for the motor, clutch, hydraulic pumps, etc. They JUST needed to be put together. Iv'e stalled but my son has some slack time so we're going to get on it. Not planning a showpiece, just a running example of old school equipment.

I hope y'all realize I had my tongue firmly implanted in my cheek when I said what a deal. But it will turn out alright cause I don't have to go buy another tractor, I already have one ........ sort of. DCARP, It probably won't be at Moravia in May.

I use my 52 8N all the time around here.
I have 4 tractors and it gets the most use.
Been in the family since new.
And will be going on long after I am gone.

This is an 8n that I received to put back together for a guy. Everything in front of the bell housing was taken apart. Took a little to get it together but was all good when I was done.

you can't see under the weights but it has the 2N/9N bolt pattern.
I can clearly see the rivets and the lack of a center nut in this pic.
I do not see a brake pedal on the left though.
Makes me wonder exactly how much of it was changed.
Best of luck with your project, it will be nice to see it running!
