The wealth of information on this sight sure has helped me solve some problems! I had a toilet stool that 'twas not flushing properly and was going to replace it until it was posted to use muratic acid. Tried it and it works like a new one. Thanks.

The urinals at work were having trouble and I told our maintenance guy that did the bathroom work to try some acid and it worked. I always called it c... rock that was plugging it

Reading through your post (more than once) leaves me with all kinds of possibilities as to what was involved and what exactly happened (I missed the original post). I guess it starts with me not knowing what a toilet "stool" is ..... more than one image comes to mind. Meanwhile, I'm glad the problem was solved whatever it was.

Ah .... now I get it. I did some Googling, actually there is an item you can buy called a toilet stool. Not sure it would flush very well though .... see below. I remember making one out of wood 45 years ago when the kids were little.
Toilet stools

Local slang -- I also had never heard it called that . Goes along with seament pond (swimmin pool)-- sparkin yur gal(neckin) -- Yall (you) --- Allyalls (every body)--- bammer(state of Alabama)--- tars(tires)----flares(flowers)

Called p.....stone. Powder Citric acid is the best. Buy a five pound bag of the stuff. Flush once so everything is wet. Sprinkle about a 1/4 inch thick and let it work overnight. Dissolves everything. Works great in your home toilet too. Removes any toilet ring. Let about a cup full work over night. Pour a little down the kitchen sink drain. Let it sit overnight. If you are going to do any canning pour some on a wet scrub pad a clean the sides of the sink. You will not believe all of the crud.

Jim,
Do people sleep in a restroom? I've never seen a bed restroom, have you?
When I was a kid, dad remolded our bathroom. My mom liked it so much she wanted dad to run the carpet all the way to the house.
