I have a 1949 Farmall m and it has
what appears to be a Sears and Roebuck loader. as der
as per the plate on the loader. The
hydraulic jacks stand straight up on
the side of the tractor and it runs
with pulleys and cable. Has anyone
ever seen a loader system like this. I
was told buy a friend that it is an
extremely rare loader set up, can
anyone verify that thank you

Is it kinda like this only with cables and the cylinders more vertical? Don't know anything about it, but my neighbor had one on a H.

Picture is New Idea Horn loader. Dad had one on 400. Had old drive under cable winch for lifting wagon boxes. Drive under, hook cables on booms. Have on or off in 5 minutes. Good loader for its time.

I just saw a loader on an H on FaceBook yesterday that sounds like that Sears loader. Ii had never seen even a picture before yesterday.
Caswell loaders were pretty common around home in the late 1950's and early '60's till they all got replaced. Had a LARGE cylinder mounted low in front, pointed straight up right in front of the grill of the tractor. Two chains crossed over pulleys on the top of the rod of the cylinder. Had pretty good lifting power even with the stock belly pumps on H's & M's. But the bucket bounced terribly across rough ground, no down force, was a lever on the right side mount on the axle carrier you could easily adjust the pitch of the bucket to get it to dig. Seems like there was an additional oil reservoir on the loader so you could lift the bucket higher than the 6 quarts of oil in the Liftall would allow. I did say that cylinder was really BIG. That Caswell survived a lot of years of use, survived better than the Stan-Hoist that replaced it. Saw a real nice Super M with a equally nice Stan-Hoist loader about 2 years ago right now. Really didn't have a way to haul it, was going to buy it for the loader and flip the tractor. It was gone by the time I decided to just buy it.

What I wanted to do was sell the tractor and I believe I have a good idea when a fair price would be, but I wasn't sure weather the loader / snow plow makes the tractor worth more or less money?

Thanks for the reply, I did download a picture of the setup. Even though it's not in the right place you'll get the idea of what it is thank you so much

I think IHC had a loader like that also, or else it was a Horn Loader, way back in their day!! I got a F-10 Farmhand with a black smith built bucket, it's just right for snow removal, my dad bought that new, in the early 60's for a $100:00 Dollars !!
