td9B clutch problem

I have a td9B with a clutch problem. I recently replaced disc and p. plate, and now it won't totally release. I have to idle engine to shift gears, and when I throttle up the cat tries to creep ahead. I tried backing off adjuster 1 notch and got slippage, so I doubt if it,s adjustment. Any input would be appreciated.

could be pilot bearing as mentioned above....been there and done that. really sucks if that's the problem, since you were right there.

Slightly warped driven disk can drag as well as the pilot bearing issue mentioned. also make sure all the linkage to the over center lever is tight in the pivots. Jim

replaced? is that with new parts? is this creeping with the clutch disengaged? oil on the disc will case poor shifting and jumpy clutch. oil is the worst thing to have on clutch surfaces. brakekleen is your friend here. as for the pilot brg did you turn it by hand? grease does wonders where it belongs.

akes perfect sense. Thanks. Maybe while I'm changing it I can contort myself into a position where I can give myself a good butt kicking for not doing it right the first time.

o, I changed the pilot bearing. The only thing that changed was the bearing. Now where do I go?
