International 806 running problem

806 diesel tractor quit and fuel filter was stopped up. We added new filters, blew out lines and it ran for 15-20 seconds and died like fuel was cut off. Pulled it a few times and same thing, but it ran a minute or so once. What could be my problem?

Injection pump MIGHT need removed for repair, confirm by loosening the two screw timing cover on the pump side. If engine runs OK without stalling WITH the fuel leak at the cover, but looses power/stalls with the cover tight, pump definitely needs removed for repair. When I have any 361/407 pump brought in for repair I insist on the pump drive adapter be brought in also, as there are seals inside the adapter that need replaced too.

"Blew out the lines" With what? Air?
Diesels generally don't run on air too well.
You might look at cranking the engine and bleeding the fuel lines as close to the injectors as you can get.
You did that?
faulty seal on a filter sucking air.

806 should bleed to the filters without turning engine over. If the pump bleeds out then the lines to the injectors should clear with engine turning over or I would just sniff some ether in as it turns over then runs. Might take a couple sessions. Be careful with the ether very careful.

Loosen the lines at each injector at the injector not the pump and turn it over until fuel comes out of each one then close them one at time from front to back once you get to the injector closest to the front of the tractor it should run it not do it again
