I have a Ford 860 tractor that seem to have problem with the hydraulic. It is slow about lifting up but once it up it will stay up. Does anyone know where the hydraulic filter is located?

I in TN and during the summer months it was slow to raise. Thanks for letting me know there is no filter, I can quit looking now.

Being slow can also be caused by dirty oil and sludge build up in the system. The 3 point on my 841S is slow at first but once it is warmed up it works a lot faster and I use UTF in it and am here in Missouri. By the way what part of TN?? I lived in Athens TN at one time and got my first driver license at the age of 14 when I lived there

What I do is drain that old oil out and then flush the system with diesel fuel. Then install the correct hydraulic oil and bleed the system. if your pump is in good condition the lift should work a lot better.

When you change the hydraulic fluid, drain the transmission and differential as well. Refill all three with UTF. It's possible for gear oil from the other two reservoirs to enter the hydraulic reservoir and contaminate it. Using UTF in all three reservoirs eliminates that possibility.
