Stop sending that rain over here.
It is raining so hard here that it is standing water on the slopes.
I just took these photos standing on the front porch.

Here in Missouri on the weather they have been telling people not tot burn trash etc. since it is dry here and has been for a few weeks. But they say there is a chance of rain turning to snow latter today

Well look at this way , rain runs off and it is not 20 below with a fifty MPH wind and snow stacking up to the nose of a tall Indian . Also you not usen as much fuel to heat with . We are wet here also and what little snow that has come is gone in a day or so . We are at 52 degrees here in my part of the Buckeye with rain. The fresh gas in the snow blower is getting stale . Glade i am not plowing snow anymore as this years is stacking up to be a money loosen year for them or relaying on hauling road salt . For many years a lot of us deepened on the salt haul to keep money coming in along with the old strip mines and steel mills . Nothing like waking up at three in the morning and getting in and old cold semi and heading down to one of the many strip mines in a ragging snow storm before the snow plows were out empty to get that first load of coal . Then get to the mine and fight getting one of the loaders going to load yourself . Then beat feet up to either Painsville or Cleveland and dump rush over to the salt mine and get a load of salt and if you were having a good day yopu might just get that load of salt off fast enough to gget a second load of coal on and grab a load of salt coming back close to the house . Then stagger home and grab three or four hours and back at it . Now all i have to worry about is if the side walk is ice covered when i walk the dog at night.

Yep, just looked at the radar and we have a little break.
Gonna run and get The Bear some dog food right quick before he withers away.
May need to get him some swim fins for his feet before his walk this evening.

Last Saturday or Sunday I had 2 deer hunters sitting in deer stands by the big creek on my place and about sunrise they said they could hear something then all at once they said it was like a wall of water came flowing down the creek. We had, had a little rain over night but south of me where the creek starts they most have had a whole lot more for the creek to do as it did

tractor vet, I hauled coal five days a week across ohio 3-4 hrs sleep a nite all you could get on the coal bucket

John, I was thinking of you yesterday watching the Weather Channel while having a lunch snack. Growing up in the Houston area I had my share. Course to get your high average rainfall, I commented yesterday "it has to rain".
