918 Centaur tractor

Pasquali, Fendt, and Allis Chalmers (garden) had a 918. Don?t
beat yourself up so early in the year. Look for the positive.

As far as I know I haven?t made a mistake all year
yet but then I haven?t done any thing yet

Another home-made tractor. No factory was building such a tiny machine in 1918- especially not with a 1940's New-Way air cooled single cylinder engine powering it!

Somebody should visit a few engine & tractor shows and photograph all the neat little scratch-built butt-buggies running around the grounds in detail along with an interview with the craven minds that built them highlighting the mechanical details behind their creations. It might not make the NYT best sellers list, but I'm sure it would be interesting and entertaining reading.

I noticed those same things, but was a bit to indisposed to look for proof on that fact. I know I?ve seen a Centaur tractor, but not like that.

It appears there is foundation to this claim. I am familiar with a Le Roi powered Centaur with a high square top radiator. It appears there was an early endeavor for the above named as a teens vintage walk behind/ sulky model. Later a version very similar to the 40-50?s market models. Not sure of a connection

That would make for interesting reading. I'm also curious about the condition of some of the restored machines before the owners started in on them. How much time, energy and so on they committed to their tractors or whatever they've brought to the show.
