First vacation with wife in 20 years

Both kids are out of the house, just booked a week in virgin islands for wife and I.

Good to get some R&R together.
 
We are blessed that children are doing well, that allows us to have some time.

We never went anywhere without them.
 
Yea, we were in the same boat........hadn't had a vacation together in decades.........always took them alone. How the heck you gonna have a good time with the ball and chain around? :lol: :lol: :lol: :twisted:

When you leave the US Mainland, make sure you leave your work also! :wink:

aybe you can now take on raising a grandchild or two, but I won't wish that on you. Sometimes rewarding, but a real job for those in 70's.
 
What island are you going to stay at. I really like st. Thomas. Water island has a neat old navel fort that you can explore.
 
Lots of neat stuff to see, I really like the old Lutheran church. It was built in the late 1600s. Being a Lutheran it was especially neat to see. Take plenty of pics for us.
 
Been there several times, but it's been over ten years. They drive U.S. type cars but on left side of road. Must keep alert. Take an excursion to snorkel, there was an underwater aquarium on one of our trips. We always stayed on St. Thomas. You'll enjoy your trip.
 
Good for you and your wife. You deserve the trip more than anyone else. The reason your children turned out OK is you did not go anywhere without them.
