Ford 6000

Friend has 3 Ford 6000 tractors. All selectospeed. Question is,Do all 6000 have the SOS trans? Did some have a regular gear transmission?

I don?t have a Ford tractor with the SOS trans and I probably never will. That being said, are there still enough rebuild parts available to completely rebuild this transmission?

They Only had SOS.
It's why about 10% of them are still in use.

The SOS is the only transmission the 6000 and later Commander models ever had. I have one tractor I use, and four are parts tractors. I'd like to find six new old stock .020 oversize diesel pistons, not holding my breath though...
