Yep stalk chopper. I have one just like
it sitting in a fence row. I also have a
small one that's pulled with a tractor.

I actually built something similar.but mine was small enough to use behind a 4-wheeler .i built it with the pillar block bearings and roller drum from a conveyer.i welded sharpened grader blades to the roller drum.it was used to cut/smash grass and briars on our trails/four wheeler roads on our hunting lease. I welded an ell and a cap to it to fill it with water to add weight
