Kubota M5040

I have a Kubota M5040 with approximately 400 hours. This past weekend, I hooked up the rock rake to go over the feed lots where the feeders stand, for some reason I can't get the three point arms to drop unless I stand on them. The linkage is functioning properly, no binding and no damage to the cylinders or the arms preventing them from lowering. I've tried changing the draft control with no change. The hydraulic filters were changed a few months ago. I can't find anything in the manual so I called the dealer, no advice over the phone unless I bring in the tractor. Do any of you have some suggestions where to start troubleshooting? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the rate of drop valve needs reset for the lighter implement ? Do you have an owners manual ? it should tell about it. It is not the same as draft control.

If you look below and in front of the seat there
should be a small knob. If you back this out (it?s the
rate of drop valve mentioned below) it should help.

X3 on rate of drop screw knob(key 110) needs to be turned CCW a small amount. I think R-O-D knob is located behind the seat.

Knob is on left side at rear of seat. Make that 4 votes for that being your problem. Also check the linkage for binding, a lot of debris can build up on top of the rockshaft housing in that area.

When you changed those filters you didn't maybe put thicker oil in did you? Now that the weather is colder the oil may be stiffer than
before.
