Well it?s got rubber tires and a dozer so I guess that counts I about killed myself trying to hang the brackets with one arm and start the bolts with the other but I did get it together.

We had about 18 inches down south about 2 weeks after this picture was taken then it warmed up and it all melted we haven?t had anything at home to speak off yet . Still plenty early though

When you get a bit older you will use a hydraulic jack to lift and hold but when your young....strong arm it!

What your talking about is why i have an 8.5 foot wide V-plow that hooks to the loader bucket of my tractors. One pass in and out of my driveway and I am done

Did your heart go pitter pat and swell four sizes the first time you drove it out of the shop and everything works???!!. This spring give it a paint job. YEA!

Yes it did . The plan is to paint it might try to brush it I see some guys get pretty good results with that

It is also almost 3 foot tall. A few years back we had a 24 inch snow fall and I had it on my Ford 841S and I plowed the mile long driveway in 3rd gear and didn't even have the chains on. I need to repaint the plow so snow does not stick to it and also wax it. Found good coat of shiny paint and wax job helps keep snow from sticking

Hey old you might try some slip plate graphite paint to make it slide right off. We use to paint on our gravity wagons beds so you did not have sweep them out.

I was thinking that myself but it actually works fine without I just set it about 2 inches off the ground and it stays where you put it sure a lot more control than a rear mounted scraper

A short clip .

That would be fun to see that v plow working that?s for sure . In the old days the county would put v plows on the d9 cats and cut dikes to keep the snow from drifting on the roads at times the snow would get so high you couldn?t see the cat for the drifts

Well with me having a bad back and bad knees and bad shoulder I have my shop set up so I do not do the lighting my chain hoist do that for me. 5 chain hosts on trolleys plus multiple places to hang them goes a long way in to not lifting things. Like unloading a riding lawn mower the other day. Just hook it up to a chain hoist lifted it out of the bed of the pickup and drove out form under it and then let ti down to the floor

Years ago I did post pictures of the V-Plow I made. I'm sure they are still in the archives on here.. The nice thing with a V plow is if you want to go wider you simply make a half pass so then you have plowed an extra 4 foot or so. Plus a V plow does not tend to push the front end sideways like a straight plow with sitting at an angle

Old I sure wish I had something like that . I do have a cherry picker that I maybe could have used but it?s not home at the moment

My shop has an I-Beam up in the over head that runs from the very back up to the roll up door. It would go past the roll up door but then the door could not be opened up. Plus the I-beam is mounted to over cross beams that have places to hang hoist on or one can wrap a chain around the beams to hang a hoist on. A few years back I split a IH656 to do a ring and pinion gear in the rear end. I had to add 10 feet of beam to do that. Had the engine hanging and the transmission hanging and the rear end and 2 axle housing so split into 5 parts plus the rear tire so if you include the tire 7 parts and the tires when I started where full of fluid so I had to drain them

SV, looks good I haven?t got my blade finished. Mostly money and time are my limiting factors. Oh and it seems to snow about every other day. Here?s a V plow for you!

I?m still debating whether i would want a cab or not . That one Adirondack Case has on his on that case looks nice though . Wonder if it?s quite

SV, My boy got the blade from his landlord for free. He is going to take the tractor to his house I just haven?t got it ready. Been working on trucks at work and plowing snow just ain?t had time or money for it. He is a UPS driver and probably makes twice what I do anyway. Next year he has ten years driving for them.

I hope you got it for free. It doesn't even fit on my laptop screen. Looks like someones pipe dream. HeHe. Good luck with it, and hope it fulfills your needs.-----------------Loren

SV,
I always like seeing pics of things people make out of nothing. Keep them coming.
I feel left out, no snow.
geo.

My shop floor i dirt but now that I have back problems I glad I did not do concrete since that can be hard on ones back. I do use a piece of plywood in the floor to make it a bit better

Adirondack Case that?s because I posted the video down below it always blows things way out of proportion as far As the picture goes . And yes I did get it free I traded some John Deere suitcase weights I got for free at work when they closed Us down . They guy originally wanted 500$ but I never could come up with it and one day he finally said just come get it I wouldn?t have minded paying for it but I couldn?t

Thanks George . This dozer is definitely barnyard engineered but it?s built heavy and pretty designed . It looks better than I thought it would after I got it put on . Not sure what Color to paint it probably not green
