Should I be ashamed

I had my shoulder rebuilt 5 years ago, have not picked up a bow since then, but plan to get back in it this winter. I almost have the alley in my shop opened up so I can get a 60' shot. It appears in that time that the dots on the target are smaller, so I cannot see it as well.

I think that I am in need of a scope, should I be ashamed, or is that par for the course with you guys?

i have bow hunted all my life but instead of giving it up i had to go to a crossbow at 61 for deer but can still pull my compound back for bow fishing [35 lbs.] at 68 i will do what ever i got to do to do both. i feel good that i can still do both

My vision is terrible. Trying to trace wires to my trans but cant see them. Going to pull the whole harness out so I can see it.

Yep crossbow and you can still use a scope. In Mo I am told you can use one for bow hunting now.

Yes the last 2 or 3 years crossbow has been legal for any one in Missouri. Yup till then you had to have special permit which I have had since 1996 due to back surgery. I got a crossbow back in 1996 an have taken a good many deer with it since then

I might be ashamed if my arrows were hitting everywhere except the target.

You turn the light on when you go pee at 3 am, hard to hit a target you can't see.

Tools exist to solve problems and make life easier, so why not use them.

I am still capable of turning a wrench to change a tire on a 1-ton dually but I am by no means ashamed to use my impact.

My eyesight has been so much worse since I had Bells Palsy back in 2004. No matter what I have tried, my right eye is just blurry and its my dominant eye. I still hunt with a bow and have a scope on the crossbow I bought a few years ago. Haven't tried one on the bow yet but I have tried numerous other sights. I'm 61 and don't know how many more years I can pull a bow either as I have problems in both shoulders.
You do whatever you have to thats legal if it will help you still enjoy the things you like. No shame whatsoever! Never give up!

NEVER ! Adapt and overcome. That and see the eye doctor, find out what is going on. I've tried through good nutrition to help augment eye health, but can already tell it's time for an examination, when looking at the moon, seems to double up or overlap, blurry. I can still use iron sights with no problem, and or the pins on the compound bow.

I did upgrade to a very nice scope on my rifle, so much better optics. Same with field glasses, so much clearer, I use them often too. Nothing wrong with addressing your needs to do the job right, I think I'd be ashamed if I did not, more so if wounding what I hunt rather than quick humane kill.

So it sounds to me like you need to se an eye DR. for glasses as if you are having trouble seeing that you probly not seeing other things as you should. And I would not even know how to put an arrow in a bow.
