Hey Brett, there is a good one down on transportation. There is a new expert on DOT regs. He has been a member for 14 years and has 75 posts. He claims among other things that the rules are kept secret from the enforcement officers.
 
There will always be those that can not stomach that they are regulated by DOT rules.
Take tie downs; tarps; lights; weight; size; These are all safety rules that everyone needs to follow.
Same thing with hauling hazardous materials. The rules apply to everyone.

That is what is called a private carrier. They are only allowed to carry stuff they own.
All Dot rules apply to they except one.
They do not need a ICC number; some know this as the MC number.
But they must have a DOT number.

"They" keep the rules secret from the people that are supposed to enforce the rules? Okay................. :shock:
