Where are you getting that nice weather?? Just south of you there is still snow in
the fields and small ponds!

Ben

Oh, good for your dad!

That is how I bring in many of the deer that are shot on my place. But I use my IH584. Since it is red it sticks out well so it is almost as good as the hunter safety orange

Maybe its like Virginia,a landowner doesn't need a license to hunt their own property.
And anyone 65 and older doesn't need a license to hunt in the county they reside. In either case they won't have any tag to put on a deer, bear or turkey when they kill it.

I think an added touch would be if your Father
mounted the rack someplace on the Deere.
You are blessed to have an 88 year old father on a
Deere and not in a wheelchair.
Thanks for the post.

Here in Georgia we do not have tags any longer. All harvest records can be done on line at the time of kill. If you don't have a smart phone you can print out a harvest record (to be mailed to the DNR at the end of the season. We can harvest 10 antlerless deer and 2 antlered deer. One of the two antlered deer must have a minimum of 4 points, 1 inch or longer, on one side of the antlers. Some Counties have more strict rules on antlered deer.

As far as not field dressed, i would not expect an 88 year old to gut the deer in the field. Just play like it took a couple of hours to track it down, you would still eat it right?
