David brown 1210

Hi, so I know a guy with a david brown 1210. I dont know if he wants to sell it or if it runs or anything. I'm just really curious about these tractors in general. What do you guys know about them?
Ups and downs?
Did they have any major problems?
Are they decent tractors?
Nice to drive?
Thanks.

I owned a David Brown 995 for several years, good running tractor, very fuel efficient. The 3 point hitch never worked as it should, even after it was in a shop and money spent, it never worked right. Remotes worked fine, overall a powerhouse of a tractor.

From what I know the 1210 is a solid model. The hydraulics require a learning curve, but are generally good. There are multiple settings to the hydraulics and typical problems are a stuck relief or valve. The diesels are efficient and parts are available trough CNH. I?ve had my 4600 (gasser) for 12 years and my only complaint is my feet are to big to comfortably dismount. DB?s are compact work horses and if it was taken care of should have life left in it.

Great tractors, very well built, undervalued in the market usually. My sole complaint with my 990 is that it's hard to get on and off, but so are some of my other tractors.
