Farmall 560 loader float?

I recently bought a 1962 560 gas. It has a Schwartz loader. On my previous tractor an IH 656 if you pushed the hyd down lever full forward the loader would float. On the 560 it picks up the front end. Does the 560 have this float feature?

Look at the end of the valve body opposite the levers. There should be two caps of some type for that end of the valve spools. Are they the same or is the one on the boom valve longer than the bucket valve cap? If they are the same length it is almost certain your valve doesn't have a float position. If the lift one is longer you may have float, but something may be wrong in the detent system.

On a 560 between your feet there is shafts sticking towards the seat base, one for each valve. There is a single and double position to those, turning it will change it. If the roll pins
are not broken off there will be two distinct places. If left in a middle position the valve can do weird thing so get it all the way one way or the other. You may find that you have to
switch outlets on the side for the lift, if the loader goes the wrong way.On the other side of the valve there is a cap for each that will hold the valve in position if you push or pull
until it catches. If that feature doesn't work the garter spring is broken. Not the easiest thing to change and we had made a cone to put it back together as the spring is inside a
collar over the shaft of the valve.
