Trying to get started. Been sitting. Drained tank replaced fuel filter have fuel running to injection pump but not sure how to bleed properly. Cracked lines at pump cranked but no fuel running out.

remove the two screws holding the timing window cover on the pump, my guess is the pump was seized and you twisted the drive off or worse, maybe not but seen it way to many times

There are certainly fellas on this site that can give you far more information about injector pumps than I do. That being said, if you haven?t already cranked the engine over to try starting it, don?t. Until you first determine if the injection pump is seized up. If the pump is stuck, and it could be after sitting for so long. You could do damage to the pump.
If the pump is free, and fuel is running to the pump, I would open a line after the pump going to a injector, and see if fuel is getting there.
On the few times I have ran my diesel Case tractors out of fuel, it takes a fair bit of fooling to get them primed and started again.

Thanks. I?ll check that out. When I pulled the line from the tank to the pump and cleaned that filter I then tried to crank it over and the fuel that was sitting in the pump was getting sucked into the pump.

When I took the timing cover off the front disk was turning the disk towards the rear of the engine is not. Are the both suppose to turn.

If you have movement in the pump that is Good news,, loosen every injector line at the injectors, set the throttle to wide open, crank engine, the pump should self bleed and start spitting bubbles/dsl until you get just fuel, then try pull the fuel shutoff out and crank again, the fuel should stop coming out totally push it back in and make sure it starts delivering fuel again, this step is to make sure nothing is stuck in the pump that could cause a run away tighten the injector lines she should put smoke out of the exhaust and or start easy if things are working

We loosened the injector lines at the pump and when cranked could not get any fuel.
If we do it at the injectors will that make a difference

Not run in six years, my guess is it won't run until the injection pump is repaired. I repair pumps that have only set one year that won't work due to stuck metering, delivery valves, and rotor plungers. Water in fuel, or bio diesel is NOT your friend when it comes to setting without use..

it should pump fuel at both places but you need to do it at the injectors to get all the air out,, did you have the throttle wide open? it does take some cranking to get the air purged and if you do not loosen all of them it can be air locked still,, you might have a stuck part inside yet also,

Dsl tech knows his stuff,,, you may be contacting him to have it gone through,, I would suggest sending the injectors to him also if you do as they may need some attention as well, I was Hoping he would see the post and join in

I have pressurized the fuel tank on a 900 years ago when bleeding filters. that tractor was a buggar to bleed. even sitting over winter had to do that. then once got fuel to the injectors away it would go. just very slight pressure maybe 2-3 lbs. sometime would remove bleed screw on final filter and blow in there and it would pick up prime. but just a bit. not saying to do this but it worked for me. have all line loose at injectors.

a 900 has a third final filter mounted up high, unless you have the tank FULL they will not bleed properly and you cannot expel all of the air,, using air psi also can introduce air but can be used if you use a very small amount of psi and follow proper/correct bleeding steps but not a practice I use unless all else fails and then I do a proper bleeding with tank full,, blowing air in the final filter is for sure a no no,, as all you are doing is creating a air pocket in the system that you can never get out just running it, you must have had a air entry leak at some point in the system, even it is did not leak fuel out it can let air in depending on where it was, that said, the 630 he has will bleed out with correctly without a full tank of fuel as the systems bleed points are only a few inches above the bottom of the tank and is a completely different system to bleed than a 900B has

I know exactly what happens. Yes if has the third filter. Yes I blew air into it, got the fuel to pump. Then I bleed that final filter. Always had to do that every spring start up. Just from sitting pump would not pump fuel to injectors.
