!@#$%^ Christmas Shopping

Wife told me I was in charge of shopping for all the guys this year. 12 of them. Guess what, they all are getting fire extinguishers. I'm done!

Almost sound like what I do with my nephews. Every year I buy them both the same thing. That way there is not way they can say one did not get as good a thing as the other. Last year I got them both one of those head light thing. I have 2 of them and I use at least one every day and they are handy to have

I'm getting my wife a cemetery plot. Even though she hasn't used the one I got her last year.

SILs and son are getting digital air gauges. I went to Canadian tire to pick up a new tire gauge as mine had shorted out. They were on sale for $15.99. Nice looking gauge. It will give read outs in PSI or Kilopascals . The screen is well lit and easy to read. I figure its a handy gauge to keep in the console or door pocket.

I keep tire gauge in car, truck, garage, workshop, and pole barn. Hate looking tire gauges. Like to keep one next to air compressor. BTY car has no spare, only air compressor.

At her request, I'm getting our daughter a 16' fiberglass extension ladder. (Honest).

Jo and I give our Son?s, DIL?s and Grandson cash with a few stocking stuffer type gifts. Let them put it towards what fits their style. Try to get together and enjoy the holiday, those that enjoy the true meaning and just keep it simple.

When I worked at a JD dealer the truck driver there used to say he bought a box of chocolates for his mother,a six pack for his father, and gave his brother ten bucks. The boss said sounds good, but I know you eat the chocolates, drink dads beer, and borrow the ten bucks off little brother. Most of the men in my family have never been much on present buying, the most heard question is,what did I get you? The wives and sisters always do the buying.

I try to get the men a Steiner's tractor catalog, about 1 1/2 inches thick, lots of great reading. The real secret to shopping is to get them something they'd never think of themselves.

I think she wants it so she and a friend can trim a tree that's hanging over her house.

Why rush into this chore , ya got plenty of time . Myself i wait till 1 Pm Dec. 24 and then start , i make the 45 min drive to the major shopping area for me and i have my game plan laid out and have at it and i am back at the house by 5 Pm done . And i find great deals as they have started marking stuff down by the time i get there . Last year i made out like a bandit as i had a coupon for 30% off at this one store and i found everything i was looking for for the War Dept and most of the stuff i had got was marked down even more and according to my built in computer i had not even reached my max limit on spending YET and i had some EXTRA left over and was willing to spend it all when i spied a really nice neat multi season jacket and i even liked the color and they had it in her size , So in the cart it went and i am DONE i had everything PLUS the jacket . So i get in the long line cooling my heals as we move on up . When i get to the cashier she says is this on your card and i said NO i PAY IN CIF and she looks puzzled and i told her i pay in Cash , then she tells me that if i had the CARD i could get and EXTRA 70% OFF and would i like a Card and i think about this for like ten seconds and said ok IF i can charge this now and in ten seconds pay off the card and NO BILL coming to the house and she said oh yes you can do that and in less then two min. i had a card and just as fast the bill was paid and i put my money that i had saved into the Tractor vet Benevolent fund.
