My son is looking for a tractor. We looked at a MF 235, 3 cylinder diesel with a MF loader. The tractor is in good shape, runs good. Rear tires are 50%, front tires like new. The owner is asking $6,500.00. I have no experience with this model. Does anyone have any input as to what to look for, or pros and cons for this tractor. Also wondering if anyone has any estimate as to the weight with a loader and loaded rear tires.

I have a 235, I use for mowing. I have put a lot of hours on mine in the 15 or so years I have owned it. My tractor was made in Poland, and has a three cylinder Perkins diesel. The tractor has very poor brakes, is about all I can say bad about the 235. Mine has an air cleaner that sits right in front of the radiator, but it doesn't over heat. I forgot, it has a lot of flat tires when you run over sharp things. Keep the oil changed it should last a long time, if you get it. Stan

The biggest thing I read negative about the MF235 is power steering issues and difficulties, repairs and parts.

Good luck,
Bill

As long as it has power steering, and it still works, it's worth $6500 with a FEL. The Perkins ad3.152 diesel is very good engine, and it's fuel efficient.
