My only comment is they are pretty far back, make sure you have enough chain when turning sharp.

Remember, they should be crossed over so they provide a cradle for the hitch if it comes loose.

My new to me 2014 Expedition has a shorter set of "ears" for the chains on the hitch. You can only put them straight. I am not about to put 3 foot long chains on the hitch....yet.

Putting them on straight is illegal, it also causes them to get tight when you turn. They can be very tight when crossed because straight is as tight as they get.
