October Snow Video

The sun came out yesterday so I took the drone up for a few minutes of video showing the snow we have already. Also shot a bit of I phone video while walking through the yard to the sheds the day before. That part is a little shaky and wind blown but its the kind of day it was. I refuse to hitch up to the snow blower just yet.

(quoted from post at 09:29:12 10/31/19) Nice , thanks for posting. The red trim on your white equipment shed, makes it stand out very well, when the ground is covered in snow.
Thanks. What caught my eye was how the shadows from the setting sun show the undulating fields to the South. When the sun is high the ground looks relatively flat but low sun and shadows really show how rolling the land is here.
Warming up to just above thawing today so the snow is getting wet and might actually melt a bit. Cloudy though and could be rain or snow later today so I'm not taking the combine out of the shed just yet.

Incredible scenery!

(quoted from post at 15:57:10 10/31/19) What are the rows shown in pic. ?
Those are 36 foot canola swaths just South of my yard. That crop was hailed bad Sept 17 (like my oats) so it was not a high priority to combine. I took a drive today and saw lots of fields of canola swaths yet to be harvested. Some wheat fields too. I think some will still try and combine it but the temp will have to be colder than today. It got up to the thawing point so the combine sieves would build up with snow and ice.

(quoted from post at 17:11:37 10/31/19) Nice video. Sorry about your crop situation. I want to see the bison in the snow video. Or the drone video.
I think the bison will be heading to the home farm soon as there is not much left for them in the pasture.
