Large auction

First, I am in no way associated with this or any other auction company. I happened to run across this searching my local auction. I thought some others might be interested. It doesn't say whether all of this equipment is being auctioned, but I assume it is. Looks like a very large auction to me. https://www.sullivanauctioneers.com/auction/dec2019-1/

If you are basing your opinion form the photo I'd bet that's a photo from a previous sale. Ad says they are accepting consignments. Lot of auctioneers post pictures like that in the run up to a large consignment auction to get folks to consign stuff. The more impressive the better the draw.

I worked for an auction company long before internet auctions. They would generally start with a few items. Start advertising and put up the circus tents next to the freeway. They also had 2 or 3 guys that went out looking for equipment. All heavy equipment and trucks.

That's exactly what it is, a stock photo.

For a consignment auction 7 weeks away, there will be very little actually on the lot right now. Some from machinery jockeys and stuff that didn't sell at the last auction, but the bulk of it will filter in over the coming weeks. A week or two before the auction is when you'll know what kind of, and how much, equipment will be at the auction.

Sullivan is a big outfit, though, and they do attract big crowds.
