Death of the Princeton 10/24/44

Quite a read! For some strange reason, I got to thinking the other day about how much money must be sitting on the sea bed from all the payroll boxes and what sailors had in their personal lockers when their ships went down. Not all was sent home or allotments taken out.

Great read!

Even though I was in the Marine Corps, I was in aviation, in fighter squadrons, and spent time aboard aircraft carriers.

Old salts have said that you never really love a ship until you see her in trouble. I believe that to be true, having been aboard the carrier Lake Champlain when a fire damaged approximately a fourth of the ship.
