Kubota battery

Sooo, the battery in my kubota b7510 is getting weak and I have been pricing them. Walmart is $120.00 and no warrenty, because it is not going in a car or truck... Tsc is $129.99... The picture shows where I ended up getting it. $59.99!!!!
How is there so much difference?

Contrary to popular belief there is a lot of differences in quality in batteries just like anything else yes there is only a fee manufacturer of batteries but that doesn?t mean they are built the same for every customer

I have a 2001 Kubota M6800 purchased new in Oct, 2001, made around Jul, 2001 that still has the original battery in it. Says "Kubota" on it. 18 years and going strong. Use it all year around. When/if I ever have to replace it, I'm going to try to get one just like it. Might have to steal it. (;>))

I would of done the same. I have been buying batteries from Rural king lately. I find it hard to believe any from anywhere else would last 2 x as long.

II bought a Deka for my B1750 about a month ago.

I bought the high capacity version that is rated at about 50 more CCA that the std Honda battery.

The parts manager at my dealer gives me a good deal. IIRC, it was about $85.00

Have a Kubota L5030 built in 2002 with 2002 date code Japanese battery in it. Still going strong too, never gets plugged in and starts in -30 every time to go out and feed round bales or snowblow. Last time I looked the brand isn't available in North America except from a new Japanese tractor.

That's why I mentioned stealing one. (;>)) I treat mine a little better. Tractor is inside a dry unheated but ventilated machine shed. Battery disconnect switch so when I'm away it gets disconnected. And when it's cold as in Wisconsin cold the block heater is on and the battery charger is used on start mode. Tractor starts as if it were summer.

Definitely a bit more spoiled, mine lives outdoors, no block heater on it, never had a battery charger hooked to it, no disconnect. I did recently switch the 4 worklights to LED which is nice as now they are bright even at idle with the fan on full.

My 2012 kubota battery made it about 3 years in my B-3000. It left me having to jump it a couple times when it was real cold. I replaced it with a 40 dollar seconds battery from a local supplier and its still going strong after 4 years. I have had four new kubota tractors and don't ever remember one of their batteries lasting very long. Although I left my grand daughter in my 2018 M6060 to have her shut it off after it was done regenerating Saturday. I noticed about 5 hours later the lights were left on and figured the battery would be about dead. It did start right up.
I have seen the prices of the batteries at Rural King and consider them cheap when comparing the prices from other suppliers. As long as they hold up looks like a good place to get one.

Many original batteries do not last long because of dealer abuse.

Tractors sit on lot for months, are occasionally started to move around on lot but not allowed to run enough to charge battery. No one EVER charges the batteries in the tractors sitting on the lot but simply use their jump pack to start one when necessary and the battery has been discharged. Such abuse significantly shortens the life of the original batteries.

When buying a new tractor, I insist that the battery be replaced unless I saw the tractor arrive from the manufacturer on the pallet recently.

I too have had excellent service from a Kubota branded battery that came in a new tractor. I did repair/maintenance work for some older friends on their equipment. After they retired and sold their equipment they bought a 30-35 hp mfwd Kubota with a loader I believe in 2002 or 2003. After the tractor was 10 years old the owner wanted me to replace the battery about this time of the year so as to avoid problems in the winter. I turned in an old battery for a core and put the Kubota battery in my gas 4000 Ford. I finally had to replace it this spring. I have had 12 v tractor battery last 10-12 years but this one holds the record for me. I would like to know who makes these Kubota batteries.

I go to a local salvage yard and buy 1 that was removed from a wrecked vehicle. Got 1 last week that was dated Jan-19 for $35.00 plus tax with my old battery as a core.

All M series come with a battery from Japan, for years we could reorder the Japan battery but the freight of the things just go so high that now replacement batteries are us sourced.

Just about everything I have has been modified (if necessary) to accept a group 31 battery with studs. Studs seem to corrode less than post. Let's me borrow one off a machine or truck if needed too. To each his own.

Yes,I am scratching my head to.Late this summer I put 4 new group 31 stud style truck batteries in my semi.Comparable batteries $125 at local NAPA.$80 at Rural King. I do not know how Rural King does it.(batteries not on sale at Rural King).

I have a 7510 tractor w/loader. I love it!!
I noticed my original battery was getting weak, so I replaced it.
Didn't make a lot of difference. After examining the battery cables, I replaced
the positive cable with one with a "real" post clamp instead of the original thin strappy thing.
Made all the difference in the world!! Now I need to replace the ground cable, just because.
