Sitting here drinking my coffee

Sitting here drinking my coffee, and hearing my hedge trimmer running, and it's not me using it. I have my local handyman trimming my two shrubs, and cutting my small lawn, and other cleanup around my place. I can do it, but it's time to let someone else do it. If you are like me. No one can do a better job than I can, which isn't true sometimes. Raising a family I wasn't rolling in money, I'm still not. I would do all my auto, and tractor repairs my self but I can hire a gardener now. I have been working by my self for so long, it's hard to cut loose. Anyone else have that problem? Stan

yup, this year was a bad year for me health wise. had to hire out most everything. it drives me absolutely crazy.

I can see that happening down the road.
Grandkids can do some one day, but we have some steep places that I think I would have to get a lawn service to do it on a contract to reduce liability on us.
I mowed the back of our dam on the pond this week. Too steep for even a lawn service.
I mow down and circle around the end and mow down again.
I use my 52 8N and 5 foot finish mower.
Has to be dry or I will slide.

At 76 and so much going on , we have 4 full time farm labors but I still found things around here that I wanted done. This spring wife and I talked it over and found a local young guy who works nights at a factory. He comes here about 7:30 ever morning and works to 11:30. I either work with him or lay out what I want done. We have cut limbs, moved shrubs, fixed cracks in drive way, just all kind of things that I never would have got done. Sure have been a blessing to me. I just have to constantly tell him slow Joe slow down , he is really good help.

I am thinking about hiring out my tree trimming, kids are gone, a lot of work by myself.

I still mow the lawn.

I no longer go up on the roof especially for snow removal. A couple roofers in the area offer that service and they are insured.
