2009 gmc wheel bearing

Replaced front wheel bearing on 4 wheel drive truck. Dealer replaced whole hub and bearing unit. Is bearing available on it's own.
If so what number. Hub and bearing were high price from GM. Sorry if I wasn't supposed to post this on this site.

I had to replace one on my 2010 Chevy 1500 4wd. It is a sealed bearing and hub all in one unit with abs sensor included. To my knowledge there is no way to replace just the bearing.

A video shows aftermarket hubs/bearings for ~50$ They are aparently integrated component, not separate. Jim

It's a sealed unit, not repairable.

The aftermarket is much cheaper than the dealer, easy fix.

Delco's are $118 at amazon and
aftermarkets $39 at ebay

they both come with sensor and hub/spindle

I suppose if you were industrious you might be able to disect the brng out of it and chase it down
if you live in a rusty part of the world be thankful it came off the truck in any form

I have found-you get what you pay for. I replaced one on my wife's car on a Sunday one time-all they had in stock was the cheap one. It failed in a year and then I replaced it with the higher priced/quality one. Never a problem after that. Mark.

These "sealed to fail" front wheel bearing units seem to be more and more common and they all seem to fail. When was the last time you heard of the conventional front wheel bearing hub failing? Somebody should be tarred and feathered for this design. And why did they all go to it?
