Slight Harvest Delay

Although it never really got started for me, we have a slight harvest delay here in South Sask. Guess I got away light compared to those who got a major accumulation but this will probably lay the wheat and oats down a little more. Hope we get the chance to scrape them off the mud sometime before real winter hits. Those are canola swaths in the photo.

Thats too bad . Trying to scrape downed wheat or barley off of muddy ground is not fun.

That?s a shame. My brother whom lives in
Winnipeg, sent me a email today, saying how their
drought is over. And that they are getting rain every
other day now. Also that harvest is only at about 1%
completed in that area.

We can face that with corn and beans here in southern Minnesota.

Can?t imagine getting a swath to dry out from snow. Hard enough to get them to dry down after rain in the heat of summer.

You have had some rocky weather the past few years up there.
