I posted about this awhile ago. I finally got back to work on it.
It sat for years before I got it. It had a couple stuck injectors but the freed up pretty easily by prying them up with a screwdriver. I had the valve cover off and lines off and primed each one when I put it back together. To my amazement it started right up ether free. A few days later it wouldnt start. I think it lost its prime but maybe not. I finally got back to it a few days ago and had to use ether to get it to start. I put it up forsale and think its sold but it doesn't want to start. I put my torpedo heater on it and got it fairly warm. Its 60F here today. It turns pretty fast but wont take off. I'm about ready to pull the rocker cover again and prime them individually again. I have hood flow coming out of the return and it smokes like a banshee. Sounds great when its running. Am I missing something or is it just wore out. I'm not sure where to set the throttle for starting? I had a 1900 oliver with a 4-53. It always started with no ether or heat. This one is a 3-53.

(quoted from post at 16:54:54 09/29/19) you did not trip the emergency shut down did you by accident? shuts of the air
Nope. It's open. Cable is stuck so I have to manually run it.
I have tried all throttle positions. Maybe I will just leave it wide open.

We have an automatic backup generator (Gillette?) for some of the loads at work, with the thunderstorm that went through Friday night, it was running when I walked in just before 5pm. The normal feed had been lost three times in the previous hour so the decision was made to stay on the generator overnight. And she was purring along as I left in the morning, carrying about 260 amps of 600V service with all the parking lot lights, etc. This one is a 16-71, really two V8s hooked together at the crank, turbos and superchargers, and surprisingly quiet exhausted through the roof. Loud in the room with it, but it IS doing a lot of work.

The jimmy is going cross country. The guy saw a video of it running and is ok with it as is. Thank you for the suggestions.
