Water pump impellers

I'm working on a JD750. I ordered an aftermarket pump off ebay and put it on last night. I noticed that the impeller was sort of made opposite of the one on the pump I removed. It looked like it might actually scoop up more water the way it is made. Now I am second guessing putting this on and reading about this and it sure looks like I got a reverse rotation impeller on this pump. I don't know if it will flow too much water and cause problems ? I have had some say if it flows too much water the radiator won't have time to cool it and it can cause overheating ? I have not refilled the system yet and have not ran it yet. Just wondering what others think about this. I'm going to try and call the people who sold this pump later today.

If it's the wrong rotation, it will pump less, not more.

For sure make some calls, not worth cracking a head or blowing the gasket because it wasn't circulating properly.

I doubt that anyone that you reach by telephone will know anything of value.

If you question the design, send it back and buy another.

X-2 on what Steve posted.put the wrong rotation pump on a 453 Detroit one time, fluid try?s to flow the wrong way and it won?t cool your engine at all.like you it didn?t look right ,within a few minutes the temp started rising and I shut it down

The faster the fluid flows through a radiator the hotter it can get throuout its core length (assuming good t Stat). The hotter it gets, the more heat the air can remove. Jim
