Done hauling hay

Well not really I have two loads left when this happened yesterday. I bought the trailer new in 2013 and these tires have between 1,500 and 2,000 miles on them. Admittedly probably half that on rock roads. I heard one pop and before I got stopped the other went. Both on the back axle. Ordered five new tires now gotta wait for them to show.

If I had a dollar for every trailer tire I have blown out in the last 20 years, I could buy quite a few new tires.

Destroyed more than my share of trailer tires as well, all I can suggest is;
Keep them aired up to max pressure and try to avoid making really tight turns on pavement when loaded.

I've had my share too, it's those Chinese made tires, my tire man tells me that's all that is available

I have never worn a trailer tire out...They all seperate,usually before half the tread is gone.....All are checked before every trip and are kept at maximum pressure..

I've never paid a thing for trailer tires. I pick good used tire up for free and put them on for my self. Yes I have had a few blow but I also keep a couple of spares on hand. My trailer has not moved from where it is parked in a year or more

Yep mine happened going 10 mph on a rock road about 5 miles from home.....AFTER going 30 miles at 60mph with a full load of hay... thank my lucky stars for that..

I had trouble with my trailer blowing tires on the rear axle. After the 2nd one I checked and the axle was bent. I then replaced both axles. I also switched from radial tires to bias belted tires. Haven?t had a flat tire in 6 years. Probably just jinxed myself. LOL

His issue comes up regularly and most often with trailer tires. Quit buying trailer tired and use LT tires and these problems will be greatly reduced

I had a trailer tire blow just sitting in the yard last year. I was headed out to the machine shed and "KABOOM". Scared the puddin out of me. Trailer hadn't been moved for a couple days. Tires looked like the ones in your pictures, about 4 years old.

I used to blow trailer tires all the time. I started running the best 235/85/16s I can find and haven?t lost a tire in 15 years. I can usually get around 20,000 miles out of them on my 26X6?8 stock trailer.

So, who should get the 'blame' ? The retailer or the manufacturer that builds to cost specs.? Find an 'in house' mfg. that can match the price.

I have found that I have my best luck using well worn pickup tires. Put the new ones on the truck. Lot of gravel and heavy loads on 24' gooseneck stock trailer. When I was buying new tires I always had tire problems
