1975 Ford 3400 with 730 loader bucket float question.

I am trying to figure out if I have a float position for my loader. Does my loader have the float option? Is it something I can add if it doesn't.

The boom lift valve looks much longer than the bucket trip valve but when I press all the way forward, the lever stops and doesn't lock in. It looks like the spoon has rusted and there's an extra 1/2 inch on the boom lift valve that would be where the float position is.

Check out the photos.

Need a picture of just the valve and a casting number would not hurt. Rule of thumb if the first spool is longer it has a float position. Send me a picture of the valve. My e-mail should be open. J.

sorry I'm not sure why the photos didn't attach. Here they are.

The second picture tells me you have float. Now how about a valve casting number and a picture of the inlet side of the valve.

I will look for a casting number in the morning. Any pointers on where to look for it? What do you mean by the inlet side? The inlet is next to the outlets on the 2nd pic. I'll take a better pic in the morning.

I think some valves had a stop or something that could be changed if you wanted float or only pressure up and down.

Interesting. It seems like I may have that stop. I've tried everything but the valve bottoms out when I try to put it on float position. By looking at the valve near the handle when it is stopped, it looks like it can go another 1/2 inch.

I pulled the bottom cap of the valve and it looks like it covered a threaded cap. Here are the pics. Could this be a stop to keep the loader in up and down pressure and looking out the float?

I pulled up the parts diagrams for each of the available valves for my loader. Heres what I found:

This is 19-512 (Non Float Valve)

This is 19-513 (Float Valve)

My optimistic side says I have the 19-513 with a stop in. Hopefully I can just remove the stop and then i will be able to use the float function.

Anyone have advice on what to remove. Its hard to see from the photos but at the bottom of the lift valve (Where the float should be) there is a a plug that has a Allen hole in it. Should that come out? The outside of the valve body also appears to be shaped for a wrench.
