Washing the dust off his 9600-1989 model-30 year old-antique? I had the easy job-I ran the 3020 and the basket on the loader to lift him up.

Mostly green leaves yet up here, at least some yellow has shown up thanks to the warm past week, gives us some hope we can harvest before snow.

Was to Kansas City yesterday. Saw a couple of bean fields that were done on I-680 east around Omaha and a combine in the field on the way home last night south of Sioux City. A couple of corn fields were done in MO. north of ST. Joseph. Corn looked ready around there but beans were mostly grass green yet.

Losing a little more hope here every day it rains. Its already late for wheat harvest here and no signs of any progress this week with the forecast for colder and more precip.

Tee, I need you here when I wash stuff up. I'm always dragging around the step ladder. I don't trust my wife anymore to lift me with the loader. Last time she almost killed me (joking), but that's a whole 'nuther story. Figured out who was more important - me or our younger son. LOL A few beans here are ready and a few fields of early maturity corn are picked but, like you said, should see a quite a bit of action in a week or so.

Looks to me like it says 4640 on the side of the hood. Lol.

Good to see someone caring for their equipment. I've seen, and unfortunately had to fix, all too many machines that see little to no maintenance.

It does say 4630 on the side-My Dad liked the 40 series decals and put them on--I left them on and Son is too--The tractor wll probably never leave the family..Thanks--Tee

Had 24.5x32 tires on when my Dad owned it--
cvphoto37391.jpg

Was my planting tractor when I owned it so put 18.4x38s on it and now Son changed it to 42 in. rubber...

When Son isn't around the wife runs the 3020 and lifts me up for different jobs-from trimming trees to changing light bulbs in the sheds--She is scared so she is very carful-I have the basket chained on so if she gets mad at me she can't tip the tines and dump me off!!!!---Tee

Hi Mel--I see your Mrs. posted a video of Brian's new G---My VAC is licking its chops---Ray's Dad

When son was little, about 4, he was on the fender of the 2550 loader tractor while my wife raised me up to trim some tree branches. She was slowly driving forward to get me close enough, looking up, and not seeing a low branch was sweeping our son off the fender. When she saw it she grabbed son, let out clutch, and let me fend for myself. The loader hit the tree and the tractor was spinning when she remembered that she had a husband in the loader and hit the clutch. Fortunately no harm was done and we are able to laugh about it. That is just one of the reasons she doesn't offer to help any more. I could probably write a book.

We are a couple of weeks out on corn and beans..what is left, we be a few weeks. I need to wash the 9500, I left it in the barn across the county last fall so it never was cleaned. I need to haul off some last years crop to make room for what little we will have. The neighbor said his early corn went 200 under the pivot and 75 not watered.

At least half of the corn has been taken off on the MD eastern shore as of this weekend. Most of the rest looks ready to go.

BTW...your equipment sure looks good.

What wide front is under the 3020 in the pic? It looks like one of the round two cylinder ones? Maybe just the old pic? I always enjoy old pics. Thanks for taking the time to post them. I have some of my Dad's I would like to scan and post sometime. You have some very nice equipment. Tom

You have good eyes Tom-you are right about the older 2 cylnder wide front. When Dad bought the 3020 new it had a narrow front-Dad bought a wide front someplace while I was in the service and he and the blacksmith in town put it on. They made some kind of adapter plate but for some reason they couldn't keep the bolts tight so they put on a front end made for a 10-20 series. THANKS---Tee

Dad traded a IH 400 for a new 3020-HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!

Enjoyed the pictures...Nice machinery....We have no beans even close to that ripe here and need a late freeze...About 50% of the mid April planted corn is done....My renters corn made 150-160 which is a little over average...Had 4.40 inches of rain since last Weds with lots more forecast for this week..

That one is just a little one. I didn't get any video's of Mrs. MR pulling my little G. She was smoking the class's with it. Put 83 ft. on second place on one hook. Had 2 -1st places, a 2nd, and a 3rd.

Hey 1206--How have you been? Sounds like you are getting lots of rain like us. It was hot and windy here today with a chance of bad storms tonight. Thanks for the comment on the machinery--It is clean but like me it is getting OLD--are you all done pulling for the year?? We are but might go to a NATPA pull in Michigan the 28th of next month--See Ya---Tee

Last MSTPA hook for the year is Holden,MO on the 28th but forecast isn't good........I will finish 3rd in points for 10500 Hot Stock....We have had more rain outs this year than I have ever seen......Can go south on Oct 5th and 12th for more pulls, either late model or antique..
