On vacation I got behind a big box trailer and he was running 50 mile per hour. When he turned off I could see a farm tractor was pulling it. Did not know their was a tractor that ran that fast or steered that good. My tractor steering get bad at 15 mph
 
I started to ask if it might've been a JCB Fastrac, but I see their top speed is about 43 MPH.

The Fendt Vario series tractors will run 37.5 mph with factory trans. Fendt & FastTrac are known for their fast road speed ag tractors.
 
This is a racing tractor not available on the mass market. Only one unit produced at JCB FastTrac. This one was tweaked to run the speed limit and then some more. Built to attempt a land speed record for a tractor and as a marketing deal to advertise their factory tractors as fast.

It probably was a Fastrac. I'm certain we were running them down the street at 50 mph when I worked at the dealership. Part of the PDI, make sure the transmission shifts through all gears and moves at full speed with no funny noises. The speed limit on the street was 45 and it would pass the cars doing the legal speed limit. This would have been about 8 years ago when I left that job. The old Fastracs would do about 40 mph, the 8250's would really move along, so much so that it didn't really feel very safe going that fast in a tractor, but I'm sure once you got used to it it wouldn't be so bad. All of the foreign road wreckers around here use Fendts and JCB Fastracs. They'll pull the silage wagons and manure tanks right down US27, and I know theirs will run 50 mph because I've been stuck behind them on the highway when I'm approaching my intersection to turn on my way home.
 
Different tire choice can change speed of a tractor.
And most, if not all the new Diesel tractors engines
are computer controlled, so swapping the chip to
make the engine run faster, and create higher hp is
now a very common trend. So factory specs me
little.
