I happen to be one myself. I remember my dad talking about family from the Bryant Ohio area that used to own an old mom and pop machine shop. Wondered if maybe you were part of that clan
 
That is interesting. It isn't a real common name. The story I've told was that our family name can only traced back to my Grand dad as both of his parents died with no other family around so all the kids were passed out to neighbors to be raised & the kids were to young to keep in touch with each other. I do remember that there was a astronaut by the name McCool on the shuttle that blew up. We can trace our family back to the 1600s on my Moms side but not on my Dads side.
 
That was the reason. I co texted you when I saw your YT handle. It peaked my interest knowing that it isn't a common name. I have a cousin that has done an extensive family history, but I haven't talked to him in years due to a feud between his dad and mine.. (brothers). Maybe I'll try to contact him and see how far back he's gone and what the link may be.
