what is the correct ohm rating for the resistor on a 560? manual has pictures but no specs. thanks.

The ignition coil resistor?
Typically around 1.5 ohm.
Typically around 1.5 ohm.
I have seen them in the 1.2 to 1.8 ohms range. This is for 12 volt tractors that use a so called "6 Volt" coil plus a series voltage dropping (around 12 down to 6 or so volts) ballast resistor. Of course it depends on the original manufacturers design and coil resistance but I observed many in the range I posted.

thanks for the replies. the one I got at NAPA said .5-.6 ohm on the package. back to the drawing board.
