How?re things over there this morning? At first glance here it looks like we made it through without too much serious damage. Some trees are going to be firewood this winter but overall I think I?m very happy and lucky. I hope the damage elsewhere is as minor. Sam

Good morning Sam,that doesn?t sound so bad thankfully. It?s about the same here,we got 140 mls of rain ,we lost some steel off an old roof but other than that we?re ok. Power is out and there?s some trees down in areas but not severe damage. Hopefully Phil25 is ok,I may give him a call later on if he?s not on later today. Are you very close to Halifax? It looked bad along the shorelines.

I was up on one of our roofs at about 1500hrs screwing down a few loose spots. I?m in the Musquodoboit valley so not near the coast (fortunately). My sister has her sailboat in the Bedford Basin and apparently that?s fine. No idea when we can hope to see power back. All in all I think we got very lucky, it didn?t seem nearly as bad as Juan in ?03. I even have a few Sunflowers still upright! Glad to hear you suffered no serious problems.

That was a good idea,we went over ours this spring but that section used to be a corn bunker years ago and I think it?s getting too ripe to hold screws like it used to. There?s some corn fields in this area that faired our ok others did not.
