I inherited my 1977 MF 20c tractor from my father. This last spring I had to have all four cylinders on the loader resealed. When I reinstalled them I used the oil he had previously purchased for this tractor. Both the front loader and rear hydraulics slowly drift down when the tractor is shut off. I get that it's old.
Now to the question. The oil that he had purchased was "Super S supertrac 303". I know that he is quite frugal and this may be less than quality oil. Is this a good hydraulic fluid? Does it meet specification? Or should I drain and replace it with something better? As best I can tell it is in the power steering, tractor hydraulic system, and the MF 32A loader. My primary concern is maximizing the life of seals and maintaining a good running tractor.
