How was the first week of education? Able to set the pecking order in the class to your liking..:):)
but i wonder if you have had any dealings with Chown Equipment in NB, I got a line on another MF25, through him at the sussex market. A ways to go for a just to see, and drag a trailer along just in case, but it is a parts machine at the very least? ha! or mine becomes the parts machine...
so far i have light rain and slight winds, a good day if this is all we get from Dorian, really suppose to hit about 2pm, so the experts say.
Keep your stick on the ice

Hi Phill, the first week went good ,definitely not the classroom atmosphere I?m used to lol. All the meetings I?ve been to over the last 25 years were mostly low key and quite but the school setting is fast paced with the instructors trying to get as much participation as possible. I think it?s going to be good though, it?s a pretty diverse group and everyone seems to be settling in very well. I?m not familiar with them but I asked Dennis Gallant at D&M Tools. He said he finds them good fellas to deal with. He said the 25 MF is desperate hard to get parts for and nothing fits on a 35 off them. Having a 25 now picking up another one would be a good investment for sure. There?s no rain here yet but it?s pretty grey skies. Hopefully it doesn?t hit your area too awfully bad. We set bales against all the big doors last night, stay safe in the storm.

Hope both of you guys weather the storm OK. We are still parched dry here in mid western Ontario

Strangely enough Ben, we have started to get some showers every couple days. Too little too late for most crops, but will be a pain in the backside for me trying to harvest grain and straw in the next week or so. Crazy late to harvest grain crops here, but this has how it has been the last three years

Our crops are 2 or 3 weeks behind, enough so that if we get some rain now, it would help with grain fill. Corn and soys look ok, but a crop scouting shows small ears not yet dented and 2 or 3 beans per pod. Fingers crossed!

I?ve dealt with Chowns on a number of occasions and they?ve always treated me pretty well. Wouldn?t hesitate to use them again. I?m about an hour outside of Halifax and the wind is picking up pretty sharply here. I think the eye will just pass us by here about 9 or 10 tonight so I expect it will keep getting worse until then.

It?s getting pretty nasty here. Spent 3 days getting ready. Not much more I can do other than cross my fingers now. :)
