Ford tie rod end

I have an old Ford tractor. I have no idea what year it is but I believe it is from the 70s.

I am trying to order a front right tie rod end, but unsure which one to order. My problem is, the hood of the tractor shows Ford 9600. On the identification plate it shows model# H2615M.

I can't locate a model number of 2615. The site lists 2600, 2610 and then 2800.

Can anyone provide me with some insight to thus tractor, I have attached photos for reference.

Many thanks

That's a 9600 and it has the front axle set in its narrowest position.... so be prepared for a fight getting that tie rod end out of the tube unless its been moved recently. The tie rod end will have a long shaft inside the tube for wider wheel spacing. I just changed a pair on an 8700. A strong vise, penetrating fluid, heat and BFH will be helpful. You can look the part numbers up on line on New Holland parts web site for the 9600.

H2615M is the code for a 9000 series tractor.
H26 = 9000 series
1 = Diesel engine
5 = Ind 540/1000 pto
M = 16x4 dual power trans

Serial number K473509 is for a tractor built in 1975
Not sure why it has a 9000 model number and a 9600 serial number but I'd look up parts for a 9600

My search came up with "outer tie rod" part # C7NN3280D $35 - $76

As Chris in SK said it's a long tie rod 19 5/8", getting it out of the tube can be a challenge.

9000 could be a model number but the 9600 a sub model number. The 5000 tractor and the 4000 3 cylinder tractor had sub model numbers of either 4100 or 5100 for the all purpose tractors with 5200 and 4200 being the row crop models. My 4100 were a 65 & 68 and the 5100 was a 68 and have not keept up with bigger or newer tractors, so just a thought.

As mentioned, you have a 9600. And go to the New Holland web site, parts, and look up the front axle parts.

You likely will find 2-3 different options, and the tie rods are different for each. You need to figure out from the diagrams what you got, to get the parts numbers.

A&I likely makes it, when you figure it out.

I went to a scrap yard around here to order 2, one for my Ford 5200 and one for my TW20. I researched a lot, and gave him the numbers but said I hope he looks it up
too and see if he comes up the same.

He says, well, let?s see. And goes out back, and brings 2 in. He stocks them from A&I, and had both I needed! Could match it up to the one I brought along.

Now I need to get one for my 7700 by harvest. Been a year for tie rod ends!

Now just take the biggest ball peen or similar hammer and hit on the end of the arm where the tierod comes through, a few good wacks and it will fall right out.

Turn wheel to the left then wedge a block in the arm and frame then turn as you pound on the tube should move then oil some more. Moving back and forth should work it loose then out.
