Farmall 460 Hydraulic Valves

Just found out I need to change my PTO so I am putting a to do list together for that project.

If anyone can think of anything else I need to do the same time I change my PTO, let me know.

I'm also looking to tear down my 3 hydraulic valves- the middle isn't working. Any tips from anyone that has replaced one if these valves?

Before going too far on the hydraulic valves, check to make sure the single/double selector is not halfway in between.

I don't think they turn a full quarter turn. There is a piece of metal on the front that holds the sector in place. If you have the cover off under the dash over the ends of the valves you should be able to see how far they turn. Not much to overhauling valve. A little bit of a pin to get the stack apart and then line it all up to put it back together.
 
If you tke a close look at the picture, you'll see a "D" and "S" on the valve cover plate.
